But it's hard, like math hard, like reading in the car hard, like really REALLY hard hard.

I could still use a mastery of combat judo, a non-descript panel van, duct tape, six feet of rope.......whoooaaa, wrong list!!!!

Some money to complete my Marvel Triple Action run, I don't really know why, I just want the issues I missed. An easier way to scan my Treasury Edition Comics. (Speaking of which, it usually take me about 35 to 40 minutes to scan a comic, is this about right?) Do I want Marvel's Agents Of Shield on DVD? I could be happy with that. Oh, more likely, the final season of Being Human the UK edition!!!

And socks, since I always get socks......... Not going to happen, I know, but if I'm dreaming I'm dreaming big.

In more practical terms, I'd love to get the Usagi Yojimbo Saga books 3-5. I just finished vol. 2 and can't wait to read more. I do know one comics present I'm getting, the hardcover collection of the recent Sandman Overture collection. Reactions to the comic were muted, but I'm a Sandman fan from way back and I love J.H. Williams III's art.

- Mike LoughlinAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5293155946761960913.post-2909819683504800322015-11-29T09:03:37.820-06:002015-11-29T09:03:37.820-06:00Arrg, no matter how many times I re-read a post be...Arrg, no matter how many times I re-read a post before I submit it, I ALWAYS miss at least one typo. It drives me crazy. In the first sentence of that last post it was supposed to say "Batman Animated Series" not "Batman Animate Series". Both are awesome!! So, I think those are a couple of great choices for you Christmas list.

As for myself, there isn't a whole lot of comic-book related stuff that I want this year. I'm very much into playing the ukulele these days, and what I'd really like is a banjolele, which is a hybrid of a ukulele and a banjo. It plays just like a uke, but it looks and sounds like a banjo.

There a couple of small comic related things I want as well. They are a couple of TPB's, The New Teen Titans Vol. 2 and 3 (I already have Vol. 1).

I just got the SDCC exclusive "DC Universe Classics Doomsday" action figure in the mail yesterday. I usually don't buy myself stuff this close to Christmas, but it was on sale at "MattyCollector.com" for $30.00 and I knew they wouldn't last long, so I had to act fast. (And sure enough they were sold out the same day). It was not enough time to try to get someone else (like my wife) to get it for me for Christmas. So, it's an early gift to myself I suppose.

There is a new wave of Marvel Legends Spider-Man figures coming out soon that I really want, but I don't think they'll be available until after the first of the year, so that's not a possibility for Christmas. However, I'll probably ask for an eBay and/or Amazon gift card so that I can use that towards getting them myself when they finally go on sale. Not super exciting, but what're ya gonna do?Williamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16988016825582035390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5293155946761960913.post-55682122649644140522015-11-29T07:25:02.184-06:002015-11-29T07:25:02.184-06:00"Geez, who'd think I'd come to BAB fo..."Geez, who'd think I'd come to BAB for my Xmas self-gifting ideas..?"

I'd **surely** love that Bronze collectables book, Doug, will certainly hunt that down for, yes, even more vintage collecting from my favorite Marvel Zuvembie time period.

Other than that, I'm always keeping an eye on Hallmark ornaments, was eyeing a classic GL just a few days ago. Unlike other households, I'll still only have one tree up this year.., just need to (somehow..) find where I packed all my old ornaments, like some Trek and Garfield ornaments. Frankly, I've spent sooooo much this year on restoring my old 1:6 GI Joe/Action Man (UK counterpart) collection that I won't be spending much this year. I did get several copies of my own 'action figure' I showed folks here months ago, so will be giving those and some Best Buy cards out (from the stock-piled rewards received in buying a new home theatre (just installed yesterday.., Yeeeeouza).

(Incidentally, sorry for all the noise yesterday at 2pm, my first DVD to test the surroundsound was the beautiful Saturn V launch from 'Apollo 13'. Had it cranked to '11', for you Spinal Tap fans out there..).

Other than that, like most here, just anticipating the 'Force Awakens' flick coming up.

david_bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00218727673816200051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5293155946761960913.post-34489585017313399802015-11-28T18:04:18.311-06:002015-11-28T18:04:18.311-06:00There's always a ton of books (both comic and ...There's always a ton of books (both comic and non-comic) that I want, so I could probably just rattle off a list of about 50 books I wouldn't mind having. But specifically, since you mentioned Roger Stern, something I'd really like to get is a tpb I only just recently heard about called "Invaders: Eve of Destruction," which collects a 7-issue series from the late 1990s called Marvel Universe (and I only learned that that series existed a few months ago). That series was apparently dedicated to "lost history" type stories, one about the Invaders right at the end of WW2 and another set in the 1950s and involving some of the Marvel monsters from that era. Since Stern is the writer, it's a no-brainer for me: I *need* to have this...Edo Bosnarnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5293155946761960913.post-47812132749905021072015-11-28T18:03:53.711-06:002015-11-28T18:03:53.711-06:00Ok, I'll bite!
