Doug: I just saw this image over at marvelousnews.com, and thought I'd move it over here for a quick post. Leave us a comment -- what's your impression?
I don't know... I'm sure they'll do a pretty good job with this, but any time anyone mentions a live action Captain America, and especially this picture with him in the helmet sitting on a motorcycle - it just brings to mind that horrible made-for-TV Cap movie that was made in in late '70s. I shudder every time I think about it...
I don't know if you saw the text at the link I provided, but for those of you who didn't, the Cap in the picture is Chris Evans' stunt double. Now, why Evans can't ride his own bike, I don't know...
I've actually read before that a lot of studios get really nervous about actors riding motorcycles, even in normal, non-stunt capacities, due to insurance issues. I remember Alicia Silverstone once talking about how she had to sit on her bike and let some hands pull it into frame on a rope to simulate her coming to a stop.
That said, I still like the outfit. It's a pretty good mix of Ultimate and Normal, methinks.

ReplyDeleteNot much to see, but I do like it. The bike even looks real - vintage Harley?
ReplyDeleteCap looks like he's been eating too many cheeseburgers. Dang. This does not give me much confidence in the film.
