RIP Harold Ramis

Karen:  Ramis was a prolific screenwriter, director, and actor, and many of us grew up with his films, such as Animal House, Stripes, Meatballs, Caddyshack, and of course, Ghostbusters. Later on he would have great success with Groundhog Day. He was only 69 at his passing. The world is certainly poorer for his loss.

  1. What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough...

The tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!

... Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? This could be the greatest night of our lives, but you're gonna let it be the worst.

"Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble."

Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this.

I'd keep playing. I don't think the heavy stuff's gonna come down for quite awhile.

It just doesn't matter if we win or we lose. IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER! IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER! IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER

The Prowler (you don't know what you have until it's gone).

  2. Even if all he'd done was Egon Spengler, he'd still be immortal.

I wish he'd been on camera more; he was a great performer as well as writer.

  4. *snort* Love the Twinkie scene.

It's interesting, until I saw them all listed together, I didn't realize just how many his films (that he wrote, directed and/or appeared in) I've really enjoyed in the past. What a great loss...
