Happy Thanksgiving from the Bronze Age Babies!

Doug:  Thanks to each and every reader who contributes to the camaraderie that exists on this blog.  We wouldn't, and couldn't, do it without you!  We hope that you have much to be thankful for today.

Pietro, the Vision, and Namor at the same gathering.  Think a fight could break out?

Best wishes to all!

(Who are the two mysterious guests in that image?--The blonde guy and the woman at right. The artist and writer?)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, to my fellow middle-aged lovers of all things bronze-age comic book related!! Hope everyone has a great holiday.

Doug, that's an interesting comic panel. To add to William Preston's question, who's the guy in the red cape standing next to Namor? He looks like a stage magician.

As for the artist, it looks like it might be the work of the consistently mediocre Al Milgrom.

Uggh, I'm assuming that's supposed to be Doc Strange.

Yeaaaah, it was this terrible art that will forever keep that hole/gap in my Avengers Bronze collection nice and healthy...

Anywho, Blessings one and all, and be safe this wonderful Thanksgiving.

(And keep the Pepto handy...)

As always, best holiday wishes to all in the U.S. Enjoy your feasts (he says grumbling in the office at work, with an empty Chinese takeout carton at the edge of his desk...)

William and David, I do think that's supposed to be NOT Dr. Strange, but a woman attired as Dr. Strange. (Wasn't he a Defender, not an Avenger?) I thought this looked like a sloppy Perez rather than Milgrom.

The man and woman in the background are two magicians, Glamor and Illusion, who helped Wanda and Vizh out. The dude Crystal is ogling was a neighbor who was an insurance agent (I think) that she began fooling around with, thus putting her on the path to slut-hood. And yeah, it's Milgrom art.

But hey, the Peanuts stuff is great!!!

Happy Thanksgiving all, and Edo, we feel for ya buddy! You're here in spirit.

Happy holidays, one and all!

If memory serves, the bottom image is from the second Vision and Scarlet Witch limited series. If that is true, then the art is by Richard Howell, who (for my tastes) is a notch below Al Milgrom!

Doug is right, it's Howell. Just looked it up. Good call, pal.

Edo's from the U.K.? I didn't know that. Best wishes to him, and to his family and friends, and to all of you and yours. Happy holiday wishes to all.

Anon, why do you assume I'm from the UK if I'm not in the State? I'm now living in Croatia actually, although I'm a born & bred American...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I was watching Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea: The TV Series season 3.
It's amazing to see how shallow the plots and dialogue were. However the monsters were the best part of the show.

Also was watching The Dark Knight Returns Animated Film. It has to be the hands down best Batman animated film ever! I can't get over how they captured the true spirit of Frank Miller's original graphic novel!

Happy Holidays!

That's exactly what I was watching when I had my Thanksgiving Dinner with my family. Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving Special on DVD. I purchased it from Wal Mart last year. I prefer to watch that than a lot of the other holiday programs on TV.

Fantastic Fan, yes it's one of my goals to watch 'Voyage' Season 3 on DVD one day. It's like LIS underwater by that point.

Once you started seeing the innocent puppets that seem to come alive on the Seaview, it got WAAAAY too corny for me.

A belated Happy Thanksgiving to all. I have much to be thankful for, not the least of which is the BAB community.

I hope everyone at BAB enjoyed their Thanksgiving. I love visiting here, it is always a great atmosphere of people enjoying comics.
Ed, I hope you were able to make the most of Turkey Day despite your circumstances.
Here in the PacNW it was dry and sunny. Unusually perfect weather for Thanksgiving.

If there ever was a group of sub-Z-list characters, Glamor and Illusion would be in that list.
I'm pretty sure they only appeared in the Vision/SW maxi-series , and I think an appearance in West Coast Avengers.

I enjoyed that 12-issue series back then, it definitely was better than a lot of the stuff Marvel was cranking out around this time---Secret Wars 2, some terrible Graphic Novels, and later Dazzler series, off the top of my head.
