Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous..

Loved inclusion of Swordsman, Mantis and YellowJacket.

Thanks for the heads up, Doug..!!

Those are indeed gorgeous - but it's odd to see Byrne's commissions colored. I vaguely recall reading somewhere (possibly on his site) that he usually does not like to have this done to them.
Otherwise, if you like these, you should really go to his site (byrnerobotics.com) and click the galleries link. You can easily while away an hour or two in the "commissions" section alone...

Reminds me that really the original team only lasted one issue, if you consider Pym's switch from Ant-Man to Giant-Man in the 2nd issue as a change. Then of course, not only was the Hulk an ex-Avenger by ish 3, but Iron Man made a major change to his armor. While the Ff & X-Men remained mostly static during the '60s, the Avengers were regularly changing, at least once a year.

Those were freaking awesome! Thanks Doug. Wonder what one of those bad-boys would set you back?

Edo, I believe the reason that Byrne doesn't usually color his stuff himself is that he is actually color blind. Strange as it sounds, it's true.

Yes, I know he's color-blind; my point is that he apparently isn't fond of others coloring his commissions or any other b&w illustrations...
