Doug: Excitement is building for the release of Captain America: Civil War, at least where this Bronze Age Baby is concerned. Today I wanted to guide you to a few additional clips from the film, in the event you'd not seen them. You can access those, as well as some interviews, by clicking here. But what really made me smile is this screen grab from one of those very clips -- check out the Vision! And what a great homage to a previous "Vision sartorial moment" from the "Kree/Skrull War". Love it!

Oh, what a great, memorable splash panel-! One of my favorites-- even with the whole boat-load of "now, waitaminute"s that it contains. . .
The big sartorial conundrum that it immediately presents, of course, is that we'd generally assumed that Vizh's whole green outfit was mostly a costume/uniform, right? If that's the case, though, why in the world would he pile a layer of "casual day" togs on top of it? Including his gloves? Makes no sense--- so, was his whole costume really his android "skin" all along-?? (No, as we later discover-- but it certainly left us confused for awhile!). Film-Vizh's look makes much more sense, and yet is still kinda delightfully off-putting, isn't it? It is indeed a fine homage.
(Gnrgh-- we do need a new home PC. . . can't download those links. . . PC just looks back at me with a "you've gotta be kiddin' me" expression. . . )

In the 2006 Civil War epic the entire Marvel universe was at war - in this film there are about five on one side and five on the other lol...
Thanks for that link, Doug; out of those, I'd only seen the (amusing) Ant Man clip so far.
Anyway, as with all of the other Avengers-related films, I'm getting pretty excited about this one; looks like it's going to be another fun romp for the most part.
Even thought I pretty much loathed the Civil War storyline in the comics, this cinematic version looks like it just may be the best Marvel movie yet. It really does look to be a better "Avengers" movie than "Age of Ultron" was.
I mean, who here in their wildest dreams ever imagined they would make a big screen movie that featured characters that mostly only fans of classic Marvel Comics (like us) would appreciate? Characters like The Vision, Black Panther, Ant-Man/Giant-Man, The Falcon, and etc.? It's like a Kree-Skrull War era Avengers movie. Whaaaat??!!
I am looking forward to this. And Vizh in a sweater is great. Trying to avoid some trailers so I dint see everything, but early reviews seem positive.
OT I saw Jungle Book and was thoroughly entertained. Pretty amazed at the technology for the cgi animals. Really worth seeing. Wife thought she would not like it but she cannot stop talking about how good it was.
I'm just glad he wears pants. Or tights. Whatever those things are.
M.P.
Hmm yeah great ode to a classic scene, somehow that screen grab reminds me of Mr Rogers Neighbourhood! All that's missing is the Vision sipping tea and nibbling on sandwiches!

So Jan named him the Vision, because that's how he first looked. I can't help thinking if he'd rocked up in this turtle neck he'd have been called....the lounge lizard? the golfer on his day off? Bing?
